Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay expressed sorrow over the demise of three Tamil Nadu residents in a fire mishap at an industrial site in Qatar. The deceased individuals, all young workers from Tirunelveli district, were identified as Habeeb, Vajith Kumar, and Suvin. The Chief Minister pledged Rs 10 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to assist their families.
Efforts are underway to repatriate the bodies of the victims back to Tamil Nadu promptly. The State Government, in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Qatar, is expediting the repatriation process. Minister for Welfare of Non-Resident Tamils K.S. Thennarasu has been tasked with overseeing the situation and ensuring swift action for the victims and their families.
CM Vijay emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the affected families during this challenging time. Additionally, helpline numbers have been provided by the Tamil Nadu Government for those seeking information about the incident. The government assured continued assistance and support to the families impacted by the tragedy.
