Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Minister Ma Subramanian recently visited the ‘Stalin for Health’ medical camp at the Government Higher Secondary School campus in Kannagi Nagar, part of the Greater Chennai Corporation’s Sholinganallur zone.
The initiative, inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on August 2, aims to provide extensive community healthcare services across Tamil Nadu. It includes 1,256 medical camps held in various locations, benefiting over 12 lakh people.
The medical camps offer comprehensive health assessments and immediate follow-up services, ensuring quality healthcare is easily accessible to residents. The program also facilitates the issuance of health insurance cards and disability identity cards on the spot, streamlining access to healthcare services for beneficiaries.
The ‘Stalin for Health’ initiative covers 17 medical specialities, ranging from general medicine to traditional Indian systems of medicine. Minister Subramanian highlighted the overwhelming public support for the program, emphasizing its people-centric approach to governance.
