In a one-sided encounter, Zeel Desai set the tone by defeating Anu-Vjin Gantor 6-0, 6-0 in just 37 minutes, displaying a dominant performance. Following suit, Sahaja Yamalapalli also secured a commanding victory with the same scoreline of 6-0, 6-0.
India’s dominance extended to the doubles match, where Vaishnavi Adkar and Rutuja Bhosale outperformed their Mongolian opponents with a 6-1, 6-0 win. The Indian pair displayed seamless coordination, taking control early on and maintaining their dominance throughout the match.
The Billie Jean King Cup also saw the Republic of Korea facing Indonesia, with Korea taking an early lead. Meanwhile, Thailand held the advantage over New Zealand in their respective matches, with all six teams competing in a round-robin format to secure a spot in the next stage.
