Team India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, visited the Shree Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha before the team’s home T20 World Cup campaign. Accompanied by batting coach Sitanshu Hargovindbhai Kotak, Gambhir’s visit was in preparation for the upcoming tournament. The Men in Blue are set to begin their title defense against the USA at the Wankhede Stadium.
Gambhir’s spiritual visits are not new, as he had previously sought blessings at the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati before a T20I match against New Zealand. Following the third game, Gambhir and Team India players also visited the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha temple in Visakhapatnam. The defending champions, led by Suryakumar Yadav, are considered strong contenders for this year’s T20 World Cup, aiming to secure back-to-back victories.
India’s T20 team, known for its depth and talent, has shown exceptional performance, maintaining a remarkable win-loss ratio since the previous tournament. With recent victories in T20I series against South Africa and New Zealand, the team is in good form. Having defeated South Africa in a warm-up match, Team India is geared up to face the USA in their campaign opener with confidence and momentum.
