After India’s 3-0 T20I series win against Zimbabwe, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the Player of the Series, praised interim head coach VVS Laxman and batting coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar for their guidance. Sooryavanshi’s standout performance included a top score of 81 off 49 balls in the final match at Harare Sports Club, where India posted 192/5 on a challenging pitch.
Expressing his joy, Sooryavanshi described his achievements as a dream come true, thanking his supporters and the coaching staff for their backing. He emphasized the importance of the tactical discussions he had with VVS Laxman and Hrishikesh Kanitkar before matches, which allowed him the freedom to focus on his game without distractions.
Sooryavanshi also highlighted his camaraderie with fellow player Ishan Kishan, mentioning their shared roots from Bihar, which made his transition to the national team smoother.
