Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, expressed strong criticism towards the NDA government in Bihar regarding the state’s deteriorating law and order situation. He highlighted concerns about the safety of women, children, and citizens in general, stating that they are feeling increasingly insecure. Yadav raised questions about the government’s handling of missing children and the rising incidents of crimes against women, citing official data that revealed 8,681 missing children in Bihar, with a significant majority being girls.
The opposition leader emphasized the alarming nature of these figures, indicating a pressing need for enhanced safety measures for women and children in the state. He further accused the current administration of failing to effectively address various crimes such as rape, gang rape, robbery, murder, theft, and dacoities occurring across different districts. Yadav directly criticized Samrat Choudhary, alleging that despite claims of advanced technology and AI-based surveillance systems, the government has been unable to control the escalating crime rates.
Tejashwi Yadav also highlighted specific incidents involving crimes against students and women, including the tragic murder of a NEET aspirant and cases of molestation and attempted kidnapping of a minor student in Patna. He pointed out a report named “NAARI 2025,” which identified Patna as one of the least safe cities for women. Yadav called upon the state government to prioritize concrete administrative actions to improve public safety rather than focusing on political rhetoric and social media campaigns. He affirmed the opposition’s commitment to addressing issues related to the safety and security of women and children in Bihar and holding the government accountable for matters concerning law and order.
