Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav slammed the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government for its alleged failures in addressing poverty, crime, corruption, and unemployment in the state. Speaking at an event in Patna during Sant Ravidas Jayanti, Yadav accused the government of neglecting the concerns of the poor and marginalized sections. He criticized the government for policies that he claimed were adversely impacting economically weaker sections and not providing enough support to vulnerable communities.
Tejashwi Yadav expressed his dissatisfaction with the government’s lack of empathy towards the poor, stating that it was not working in their best interests. He highlighted the prevalence of corruption in government offices, alleging that people had to pay bribes to access basic services. Additionally, he pointed out that despite the existence of a prohibition law, illegal liquor trade continued, often affecting economically disadvantaged groups.
The RJD leader raised concerns about irregularities in recruitment processes, alleging that deserving candidates were being overlooked for employment opportunities. He also criticized the state’s healthcare and education systems, citing deficiencies in public service delivery. Referring to his tenure as Deputy Chief Minister, Yadav mentioned the creation of job opportunities during that period, such as teacher recruitments.
Tejashwi Yadav accused the current government of lacking administrative efficiency and claimed that political considerations were influencing governance. He further criticized the ruling alliance, alleging that political and administrative decisions were not being made independently. Emphasizing that issues related to governance, employment, and public welfare would be crucial in future political developments in the state.
