The Telangana BJP has criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for enrolling in a leadership course at Harvard University in the United States. The BJP questions the timing and financial wisdom of this move, calling it a “crash leadership course.”
CM Reddy is set to attend the program ‘Leadership for the 21st Century: Chaos, Conflict, and Courage’ at the John F. Kennedy School of Government from January 25 to 30. This decision has raised concerns, especially as he will be traveling from Davos, where he is attending the World Economic Forum.
The BJP State chief spokesperson, N. V. Subash, emphasized that true leadership is demonstrated through governance, accountability, and tangible results on the ground, not through short-term courses. He questioned whether such academic pursuits should have been undertaken earlier in the Chief Minister’s life, suggesting that his focus should be on governing the state rather than pursuing overseas academic endeavors.
Subash further raised concerns about the allocation of public resources for the Chief Minister’s international engagements, highlighting the need to prioritize pressing issues within Telangana, such as farmer welfare, employment, infrastructure development, and social welfare schemes. The BJP hopes that upon his return, CM Reddy will shift his focus to governance and deliver tangible outcomes for the people of Telangana, rather than symbolic gestures.
