Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has expressed deep shock over the bus accident in the Markapuram district of Andhra Pradesh, which tragically resulted in the loss of at least 14 lives. The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the mishap.
CM Revanth Reddy directed State Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to gather detailed information about the victims, both deceased and injured, from the bus that was en route from Nirmal in Telangana to Nellore. He instructed officials to collaborate with Andhra Pradesh counterparts to obtain comprehensive details about the incident and ensure the injured receive optimal medical care.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud also expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bus accident that claimed several lives in Rayavaram, near Markapuram. The collision involving a Harikrishna Travels bus and another vehicle led to a fire, resulting in passengers being burnt alive. Goud extended his sympathies to the affected families and wished a swift recovery for the injured.
At least 14 individuals lost their lives, and 22 others sustained injuries when a private travel bus caught fire after colliding with a tipper truck in the Markapuram district. The accident, which occurred near Rayavaram, completely engulfed both vehicles in flames. The bus, owned by Harikrishna Travels, was carrying around 35 passengers at the time of the collision.
