Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has emphasized the importance of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls during a virtual meeting. He directed party leaders to actively monitor the process to safeguard the voting rights of genuine voters. The Chief Minister highlighted the need for all designated officials to be actively involved in the field to oversee the SIR process.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC President Mahesh Goud, and other key party members participated in the meeting. The Chief Minister stressed that those responsible for the SIR process, including ministers and MLAs, must be present on the ground. He underlined the significant role of ministers-in-charge in supervising the SIR process effectively.
With the SIR deadline extended to August 3, the Chief Minister viewed this as an opportunity for comprehensive review and action. He announced plans for in-charge ministers to conduct SIR review meetings across all districts. The Chief Minister also emphasized the need for MPs to actively engage in the SIR process, warning of consequences for negligence in their duties.
The Chief Minister reiterated the importance of coordination among party officials designated for the SIR process. He urged immediate action in constituencies that are lagging behind and cautioned against leaders being inactive. The Chief Minister instructed party leaders to refrain from seeking positions at Gandhi Bhavan and announced upcoming review meetings to ensure accountability at all levels.
