Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has requested Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu to expedite key airport projects in the state. The Chief Minister met with Naidu in New Delhi to discuss the progress and early execution of these projects. He highlighted that land acquisition for the Mamnoor Airport in Warangal is complete and urged the ministry to start developmental works promptly.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that suitable land has been identified for the proposed Kothagudem Airport at Palvoncha. He urged the Ministry to conduct the necessary surveys to facilitate further progress. Regarding the Intergama (Anthargam) Airport project, an alternative site has been identified, and immediate approvals are sought to move the project forward.
In discussions about the Adilabad Airport, the Chief Minister informed that additional land is ready for transfer to the Central government. He emphasized that expanding aviation infrastructure would enhance regional connectivity, promote industrial growth, boost tourism, and accelerate overall development in Telangana.
At the recent Wings India 2026 event in Hyderabad, Ram Mohan Naidu mentioned that the Mamnoor Airport development is expected within two to two-and-a-half years. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) will oversee the project with an estimated cost of Rs 850 crore. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka handed over relevant documents to the Union Minister related to the airport land acquisition.
The Civil Aviation Minister confirmed that the AAI possesses 969 acres of land at Mamnoor and that the state government has acquired an additional 200 acres as requested. The acquired land has been transferred to the AAI for the project’s development.
