Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma hosted the New Year 2026 Open House celebrations at Lok Bhavan in Hyderabad. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Cabinet Ministers, senior bureaucrats, and other notable individuals visited the Governor to convey their New Year wishes. People from various backgrounds in the state also joined the festivities, exchanging warm greetings with the Governor.
Principal Secretary M. Dana Kishore and other officials from Lok Bhavan were present during the event. Additionally, several ministers visited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his residence to extend their New Year greetings. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, Konda Surekha, and Mohammed Azharuddin, along with other officials and lawmakers, greeted the Chief Minister on the occasion.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma virtually inaugurated the Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship Development (IIED) Cell at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar. He allocated funds from his discretionary quota for the establishment of this cell, emphasizing its role in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The IIED Cell aims to offer mentorship, infrastructure support, industry connections, and startup assistance to address challenges in agriculture, healthcare, and sustainability sectors.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and First Lady Sameera Nazeer participated in New Year celebrations at the Durbar Hall of Andhra Pradesh Lok Bhavan in Vijayawada. They celebrated the occasion by cutting a cake. Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand and his wife presented greetings to the Governor and the First Lady.
