Telangana High Court dismissed Jana Sena Party’s House Motion petition for holding a meeting in Hyderabad. The court deemed the request not urgent enough to be considered as a House Motion. Jana Sena had challenged Cyberabad Police’s decision to deny permission for Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Telangana Nava Nirmana Sankalpa Sabha’ on Telangana Formation Day.
Pawan Kalyan, the party’s chief, had planned to address the media at his residence in Jubilee Hills if the High Court did not permit the meeting. Jana Sena emphasized its commitment to Telangana’s development goals and aspirations. Cyberabad Police had rejected Jana Sena’s request to conduct the meeting at Sandhya Convention, Gachibowli, citing concerns about law and order.
Jana Sena criticized the reasons given for denying permission, questioning their validity. The party accused the authorities of using excuses rather than addressing genuine concerns. Jana Sena leaders in Telangana marked Telangana State Formation Day at the party’s state office in Kukatpally, expressing hopes for the state’s progress in various sectors.
