Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao dismissed the need for Telangana to receive lessons on patriotism from Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Rama Rao emphasized that Telangana has a history of struggles and sacrifices, asserting its self-reliance.

Reacting to Pawan Kalyan’s remarks during a press conference in Hyderabad, Rama Rao highlighted Telangana’s significant contribution to India’s GDP despite its smaller size. He expressed respect for Pawan Kalyan’s roles as a Deputy Chief Minister and an artist but warned against political dominance attempts.

During a meeting at Hyderabad Press Club, Rama Rao addressed queries about Pawan Kalyan’s statements, affirming that Telangana welcomes political participation but expects respect for its history and aspirations. He criticized Pawan Kalyan’s comments on Telangana’s formation and emphasized the state’s hard-fought struggle for statehood.
