Telangana celebrated its 11th Formation Day with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla leading the homage to martyrs and flag hoisting. The main event took place at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, where Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed a colorful parade and honored police officers.
Chief Minister Reddy paid respects to those who sacrificed during the Telangana statehood struggle. He expressed gratitude to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for fulfilling the statehood dream. The day commemorates Telangana’s history of sacrifice and outlines its development path as the youngest state.
Contingents from various Telangana Police wings participated in the march past, with the Seventh battalion winning the best contingent award. The event showcased Telangana’s cultural heritage, with top officials in attendance. Tributes were paid to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park before the celebrations.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar also hoisted the Tricolour at their respective locations. District headquarters saw ministers and officials leading the celebrations. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted Telangana’s progress after facing neglect.
Telangana Formation Day was marked by celebrations at political party offices, with leaders like K.T. Rama Rao and Bandi Sanjay participating. Telangana Rakshana Samithi (TRS) leader K. Kavitha led the festivities at her party office.
