Telangana Police have uncovered the truth behind the demise of writer and YouTuber Boggula Srinivas by apprehending his friend, who allegedly orchestrated his murder. The friend purportedly hired contract killers to execute Srinivas and staged the incident to appear as an accident by submerging the victim’s car in a reservoir.
Srinivas, aged 48, was discovered in a vehicle submerged in Palair reservoir in Khammam district on February 14. Initially mistaken for an accident, the police found injuries on his head upon recovering the car, leading to his identification the following day.
Hailing from Allur village in Andhra Pradesh, Srinivas gained fame in 2014 after releasing a book titled “Pawan Kalyan Hatao-Politics Bachao.” Allegedly, he had received death threats during the book’s launch, prompting suspicions surrounding his demise by his family.
The case took a turn when Venu Madhava Reddy and three contract killers were arrested a week later. The motive behind the murder was attributed to financial disputes between Srinivas and Madhva Reddy, culminating in the tragic event.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Tirupati Reddy disclosed that disagreements over financial dealings prompted Madhava Reddy to orchestrate the murder. He enlisted the help of three individuals to carry out the heinous act near Narketpally in Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh.
