Television actress Mahhi Vij has expressed her concern over the alleged use of violence against young protesters during the CJP protest march.
The actress shared a message on Instagram condemning violence and emphasizing that differences of opinion should never result in harming young people. She highlighted the importance of dialogue, empathy, and respecting the right to express views in a democracy.
Mahhi questioned the use of force against students and protesters, stressing the significance of maintaining humanity in such situations. She expressed distress over the brutal treatment of young individuals during the protests, emphasizing that violence is not the solution.
In her post, Mahhi Vij emphasized the need to protect children and young people from harm, stating that no child should be subjected to violence. She urged for a peaceful resolution to conflicts and emphasized the importance of upholding humanity in all circumstances.
The ‘Chalo Sansad’ march organized by the Cockroach Janta Party witnessed clashes as police reportedly intervened to stop the protesters. Tear gas and batons were allegedly used to disperse the crowd, leading to several students being detained. The protest was centered around alleged irregularities in the NEET medical entrance examination and calls for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
