Thalapathy Vijay, accompanied by his mother and music director Anirudh Ravichander, arrived in Malaysia for the audio launch of his upcoming movie “Jana Nayagan.” Upon his arrival, Vijay was warmly welcomed with a Silat performance, Malaysia’s national martial art, as a tribute to his global popularity.
The traditional performance showcased music and powerful moves, symbolizing Vijay’s strong connection with his fans worldwide. At the Kuala Lumpur airport, Vijay, his mother, and Anirudh were greeted by cultural dancers in vibrant attire, presenting folk dances. Vijay and Anirudh reciprocated the warm welcome with smiles and a namaste gesture.
“Jana Nayagan” marks Vijay’s final release before he transitions into full-time politics with his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. The much-anticipated audio launch is scheduled for December 27 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, known for its 85,000 seating capacity.
The event will be divided into two segments – “Thalapathy Thiruvizha,” a tribute concert featuring 30 singers, and the official audio launch with speeches from Vijay, director H Vinoth, and the entire cast and crew of “Jana Nayagan.” Directed by H. Vinoth, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, and others in key roles.
The technical team behind the project includes Sathyan Sooryan as the cinematographer and Pradeep E. Ragav as the editor. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions, “Jana Nayagan” is set for a global theatrical release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal weekend.
