Three Army soldiers sustained injuries during an anti-terrorist operation in Dolgam village, Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir. Reports indicated that Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists were cornered within the cordon set up by the joint forces.

The soldiers were wounded in an encounter with terrorists in Dolgam village. It was reported that 2 to 3 JeM terrorists were trapped within the cordon established by the joint forces. The operation, known as TRASHI-I, is ongoing in the area.

The joint forces, including the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF, engaged in a renewed encounter with the hiding terrorists in Dolgam village. The operation was initiated after the security forces re-established contact with the terrorists on January 31.

Firing exchanges began early Saturday between the joint forces and the terrorists in Dolgam village. Mobile Internet services were suspended in the wider area as a security measure. The encounter follows a previous operation on January 18 in the Sonnar area, northeast of Chatroo in Kishtwar.
