Three devotees lost their lives, and 13 others were injured in a tragic road accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district. The incident occurred near Chelluru when a truck collided with a stationary van, resulting in the casualties. Among the victims were three individuals, including a young boy, who died at the scene.
The van, carrying 16 people from Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts on a pilgrimage to the Majji Gauramma temple in Odisha, was hit by the speeding truck. The truck dragged the van for about 500 meters, causing significant damage. The injured were promptly taken to a government hospital in Vizianagaram, with one person reported to be in critical condition.
In a separate incident in Krishna district, another fatal accident took place on the Chennai-Kolkata highway near Bommaluru. A car crashed into a stationary truck, resulting in the death of the car’s driver. The man’s wife, who was also in the car, sustained injuries and was hospitalized. The deceased was identified as Nunna Suresh, the managing director of Tirumala Educational Institutions in Rajamahendravaram.
In Telangana, a Road Transport Corporation bus accident left 12 passengers injured near Metpally Police Station in Jagtial district. The bus, operated by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), was en route from Nizamabad to Warangal when the driver lost control and collided with a tree. The injured individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.
