Three out of the five Indian golfers competing at the USD 5 million Saudi Ladies International tournament managed to survive the cut at the halfway mark held at the Riyadh Golf Club. Avani Prashanth, the youngest participant, excelled with a 1-under 71 in the second round, bringing her total to 4-under and securing the 35th position. Aditi Ashok, a five-time LET winner, shot a commendable 3-under total, placing her at Tied-43rd, while Pranavi Urs played a bogey-free round, landing her at 2-under and Tied-51st to advance to the weekend rounds.
Diksha Dagar narrowly missed the cut by one shot after carding a 2-over 74, resulting in an early exit with a total of 1-under for two rounds. Hitaashee Bakshi also failed to make the cut with a score of 74-72. Avani, starting early from the tenth tee, recovered impressively after a shaky start, finishing with three birdies to boost her chances for the weekend rounds. Aditi, beginning from the first tee, overcame an early setback to record four birdies and secure a 69 in the second round.
The leaderboard was topped by England’s Mimi Rhodes at 11-under, closely followed by South Africa’s Cassandra Alexander at 10-under, with Chizzy Iwai sharing the second spot with Alexander.
