At least three Sindh Rangers personnel lost their lives in an attack on a paramilitary force facility in Karachi’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar, as reported by local media. According to Sindh Inspector General Javed Alam Odho, the attackers had rammed the main gate with their vehicle, causing uncertainty about a blast. Three terrorists were reported killed during the assault on the local Rangers headquarters. The area was cordoned off by the Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF), Special Security Unit (SSU) commandos, and Rangers personnel for a “mopping-up operation.”
The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, took immediate notice of the incident and requested a detailed report. Chief Operating Officer Dr. Abid Jalaluddin Sheikh was sent to the site on the directives of the CM’s Adviser on Rehabilitation and Rescue 1122 (Sindh) Director General. The Sindh Home Minister, Ziaul Hasan Lanjar, also addressed the incident and asked for a comprehensive report from the additional IG.
