At least three teenagers lost their lives in a heartbreaking road accident in Alirajpur district, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred when an unidentified vehicle collided with the bike they were riding. The victims, minors hailing from farming families and school dropouts, were on their way back from a friend’s wedding late at night.
Police officials have identified the deceased as Anil, 14, from Devdha village; Roshan, 17, from Badi Beed; and Savan, 14, from Ratanpura. The tragic collision took place near Chulia village under the Bori police station area. The three boys were on the same motorcycle, with their friends following on another bike. Sadly, two teenagers died instantly from the collision’s impact, while the third was pronounced dead upon reaching a nearby hospital.
The speeding vehicle responsible for the accident fled the scene after hitting the bike, leaving the victims severely injured. Authorities have registered a hit-and-run case and initiated an investigation to locate the vehicle. Senior officers have visited the site to offer condolences to the grieving families.
Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, a police official mentioned that all possible leads, including reviewing CCTV footage from nearby locations, are being explored to identify the vehicle and driver involved. The families of the victims, who come from modest farming backgrounds, are devastated as the boys were the pillars of hope for their households.
Local residents have urged the district administration to install speed breakers and enhance lighting near Chulia village to prevent similar tragedies in the future. Police have requested anyone with information about the unidentified vehicle to come forward and assist in the investigation. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and legal procedures are in progress, while the entire Bori area mourns the loss of the three young lives.
