A tragic incident unfolded in Godda, Jharkhand, where a three-year-old girl named Nisha Soren was reportedly strangled to death and her body thrown into a well. The incident occurred in Makundi Santhali Tola, causing fear among locals. Nisha, the victim, had been staying at her grandmother’s house in the village before her untimely demise.

The young girl went missing on a Thursday afternoon, prompting a frantic search by family members and villagers that lasted late into the night. During a midnight search, villagers observed a man carrying a suspicious sack near a well. Upon questioning, the man admitted to concealing the girl’s body in the sack and attempting to dispose of it.

The accused, identified as Prem Murmu, confessed to the crime and implicated his accomplice, Jarmen Soren. Enraged villagers apprehended both suspects and handed them over to the authorities after a physical altercation. The police, led by Mufassil police station in-charge Anand Saha, intervened, rescued the accused, and admitted them to Sadar Hospital for medical attention.

Police investigations revealed that the two accused, who lived in the same neighborhood, allegedly strangled the child. The motive behind this heinous act remains unclear, and both perpetrators are currently under interrogation.
