After a week of intense tennis matches, the Mumbai Open WTA 125K Series is gearing up for an exciting conclusion. Thailand’s Mananchaya Sawangkaew and Austria’s young talent Lilli Tagger will face off in the women’s singles final at the Centre Court of Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) on Sunday.

The final day will also feature Elena Pridankina and Polina Iatcenko challenging the strong pair of Mananchaya Sawangkaew and Spain’s Nicole Fossa Huergo in the women’s doubles final. Mananchaya, the runner-up from last year, is determined to claim the title this time after displaying remarkable consistency throughout the tournament.

Mananchaya, who has only dropped one set in the competition, expressed her excitement about reaching the final again in Mumbai. She praised her opponent Lilli as an exceptional talent and looks forward to the challenging match ahead.

Lilli Tagger, a 17-year-old standout performer, will be a formidable opponent for Mananchaya. With impressive victories, including defeating the 2024 champion, Lilli has captured attention with her strong on-court presence and powerful shots. She eagerly anticipates the final match and is prepared to give her best against the talented Mananchaya.

In addition to the singles final, fans can also look forward to the women’s doubles final where Elena Pridankina and Polina Iatcenko aim to defend their title against the duo of Mananchaya Sawangkaew and Argentina’s Nicole Fossa Huergo. This sets up an intense double-header for Mananchaya, who will compete in both the Singles and Doubles finals.
