The Tiruchi Rural Police have declared significant traffic diversions on the Tiruchi–Chennai National Highway and nearby routes due to the upcoming DMK State conference at Siruganur. The conference, to be chaired by DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, is expected to draw a large gathering of party members from all over the State. The event will be held at a spacious open ground in Siruganur along the Tiruchi–Chennai highway.
In preparation for the anticipated heavy traffic flow, diversions will be in place from 6 a.m. to facilitate smooth movement of vehicles and prevent congestion around the venue. Heavy vehicles traveling from Chennai to Dindigul will be rerouted via the Perambalur bypass road, Thuraiyur, Musiri, Kulithalai, Manapparai, and Vaiyampatti to ensure uninterrupted travel.
Vehicles heading from Madurai to Chennai will be redirected at Viralimalai, passing through Manapparai, Kulithalai, Musiri, Thuraiyur, and Perambalur. Similarly, heavy vehicles traveling from Chennai to Karur will take the Perambalur bypass road, Thuraiyur, Musiri, and Kulithalai before returning through the same route. For those going from Chennai to Ramanathapuram, the diversion route will be through the Perambalur bypass road, Thuraiyur, Musiri, Kulithalai, Manapparai, and Viralimalai.
