Traders at Gandhi Nagar Market in Delhi have varied opinions on the recent Union Budget. While some view it as average and lacking significant impact on local markets and small businesses, others find positives in the balanced GST rates set by the government. Praveen Gupta, President of the Gandhi Nagar Market Subhash Road Association, expressed disappointment, stating that the budget offers little new benefits for district-level traders.
Jitendra Singh, a shopkeeper and association member, offered a more positive outlook, highlighting the balanced GST rates as beneficial for both traders and consumers in the long term. Narender Sharma, Vice President of the association, echoed Gupta’s sentiments, calling the budget ordinary and emphasizing the need for concrete measures to support struggling businesses. Sharma welcomed certain aspects of the budget, such as making overseas education more affordable for students.
