A tragic incident in Karnataka’s Chitradurga involving a bus and a lorry has left nine individuals dead and 21 injured. The collision resulted in a fire that engulfed the sleeper coach bus after the lorry lost control and rammed into it. The state mourns the loss as investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, among others, have expressed shock and extended condolences to the families affected by the tragedy. Siddaramaiah emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to determine the accident’s circumstances and offered prayers for the departed souls and their grieving families.
Union Minister Kumaraswamy conveyed his deep shock over the incident and prayed for the deceased to rest in peace. He also wished a speedy recovery for the injured and urged the state government to ensure their proper treatment. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar expressed sorrow over the accident and hoped for the injured to recover swiftly, emphasizing the importance of preventing such tragedies in the future.
BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra and former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai also expressed their condolences and urged immediate compensation for the families of the deceased. Both leaders emphasized the significance of providing proper treatment for the injured and prayed for the souls lost in the tragic incident.
