A tragic incident occurred in Guda village of Sagar district where three youths drowned in a stone crusher quarry while trying to rescue a friend in distress. The region is in mourning as one body has been found, and search operations are ongoing for the other two. Police officials reported that the incident took place midday as four friends went for a swim in the quarry pond.

Eyewitness Shiva Valmiki stated that Tanish Kori started drowning, leading his friends Abhishek and Tejram to jump in to save him. Unfortunately, all three were overwhelmed by the deep waters. Another friend, Ayush, also tried to help but was rescued in time. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was called in for assistance, and one body has been recovered, with efforts continuing to locate the remaining two.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, offering condolences to the affected families and announcing financial aid. Local MLA Pradeep Laria visited the site to assess the situation and assure support for the families. The incident has shed light on the risks associated with abandoned quarry ponds, especially during the summer when they attract youngsters despite their dangerous conditions.

The community of Guda village is grieving as rescue teams persist in their search, hoping to find the missing youths soon to provide closure to their families.
