Directed by Karen Kshiti Suvarna, the Hindi-Kannada film has been chosen for the Marché du Film at the 79th Cannes Film Festival in 2026.
“September 21” is scheduled for its World Premiere on May 16 at the Palais Theatre, Cannes, featuring Priyanka Upendra, Pravin Singh Sisodia, Zarina Wahab, Ajith Shidhaye, and Amit Behl in pivotal roles. Director Karen Kshiti Suvarna described the film as a deeply personal narrative shedding light on unspoken emotions carried by caregivers, aiming to offer viewers an authentic glimpse into their world.
Actor Pravin Singh Sisodia expressed how the film emotionally challenged him, emphasizing the authenticity and vulnerability portrayed in each scene, resonating in the trailer.
