Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future during the state-level National Youth Festival in Agartala. He stressed that the energy, confidence, and contributions of young people are crucial for building a strong society. Saha underscored Swami Vivekananda’s belief in the power of youth, stating that the ideals of the youth icon are still pertinent today.
The Chief Minister lauded the youth as the driving force behind the progress of both the country and the state. He explained that the celebration of National Youth Day aims to instill a sense of national pride and patriotism among the youth while propagating Swami Vivekananda’s principles among the newer generations. Saha described Swami Vivekananda as a trailblazer, a forward-thinking philosopher, and a prominent figure of his era, whose ideas and love for the nation continue to inspire people.
Saha emphasized that guiding the youth in the right direction can bring about positive transformations in the country. He highlighted the youth as a significant asset of the nation, noting that India possesses a vast pool of youthful potential. Drawing from Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, Saha urged young individuals to not only focus on academic pursuits but also commit themselves to serving society, the nation, and humanity at large.
The Chief Minister reiterated the importance of leading a disciplined life, gaining practical education, serving others, and fostering love for the country, especially on Youth Day. He also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts in leveraging and nurturing the country’s youth power, inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s ideals. The event was attended by Sports Minister Tinku Roy, officials from the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, and other dignitaries.
