AMMK General Secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran criticized Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and the ruling TVK government in Tamil Nadu, raising concerns about the administration’s stability and accusing it of compromising political principles for power. Dhinakaran expressed doubts about the sustainability of the alliance structure in the coming months, highlighting what he perceived as an unstable political arrangement. He pointed out the shifting alliances post-election, emphasizing the need for consistency in political commitments.
In a press conference in Tiruchy, Dhinakaran urged Chief Minister Vijay to focus on governance rather than social media optics, suggesting a transition from “Instagram Reels administration” to real governance. He also questioned Vijay’s changing stance towards the AIADMK, noting the contradiction in accepting support from a party he previously criticized as corrupt. Dhinakaran warned of potential disciplinary actions against AIADMK legislators backing the TVK government and anticipated political repercussions if ministerial positions were offered to AMMK or AIADMK members.
Dhinakaran further criticized senior leader K.A. Sengottaiyan, accusing him of undermining the AIADMK from within while invoking the legacy of Jayalalithaa. He cautioned against attempts to weaken the party she established, suggesting that such actions would not be forgiven by her spirit. The AMMK leader emphasized the potential consequences of demands for a CBI inquiry if ministerial roles were allocated to certain legislators, indicating a complex political scenario within the state.
