Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief, C. Joseph Vijay, is scheduled to meet Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol Thirumavalavan as political discussions intensify for government formation in Tamil Nadu.
Heavy police security has been put in place at the VCK headquarters in Ashok Nagar in anticipation of Vijay’s potential visit to seek support from Thirumavalavan.
TVK, despite being the largest party with 108 seats in the 234-member House, falls short of the 118-seat majority required to establish the government.
With the support of Congress and the Left parties, TVK now has 116 MLAs, just two seats away from the majority mark.
All eyes are on the VCK, holding two Assembly seats, as it is expected to reveal its stance soon, possibly regarding its involvement in a potential TVK-led government.
The outcome of Vijay’s meeting with Thirumavalavan is eagerly awaited as Tamil Nadu’s political landscape remains uncertain regarding the formation of the next government.
