Two separate fire incidents occurred in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi early on Sunday. Warehouses storing wooden pallets and tyres caught fire in different parts of the Nimbavali area. No casualties have been reported, and firefighting operations are currently ongoing.
In the first incident, a warehouse storing wooden pallets in Nimbavali village caught fire, completely engulfing the structure. The fire brigade was alerted about an hour before they could reach the spot due to engagement in another nearby fire. The warehouse owner estimated losses of around Rs 15-20 lakh.
Another fire broke out in a separate warehouse storing tyres and wooden pallets in the same area along the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. Three fire tenders from the Bhiwandi Fire Brigade rushed to the scene to control the blaze. No injuries or fatalities have been reported in this incident, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Efforts are underway to bring the fires under control at both locations, with authorities continuing firefighting operations. Further details are awaited as investigations proceed.
