Reigning champions U Mumba TT will have Jay Modak and John Murphy back as their coaches for the upcoming Season 7 of Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) in Goa in July 2026. Sourav Chakraborty, the national team coach, will debut as one of the four new coaches in the league. Chakraborty will lead Ahmedabad APL Pipers, while Abhishek Yadav returns as a coach for UP Prometheans.
Dabang Delhi TTC will introduce a new coaching team, featuring Petr David from the Czech Republic, a multiple-time doubles champion, alongside Indian tactician Srivatsa Chakravarthy. UTT Co-Promoter Vita Dani expressed excitement about the mix of continuity and fresh perspectives in the coaching lineups, expecting a competitive season with high-quality table tennis matches.
The coaching lineup at U Mumba TT remains unchanged with Modak and Murphy, known for nurturing young talent and bringing international experience, respectively. UP Prometheans will see Yadav partnering with Chris Pfeiffer, while Ahmedabad APL Pipers welcome back former champion Francisco Santos alongside Sourav Chakraborty.
In the continuing combinations, Dempo Goa Challengers bring back Parag Agarwal and Elena Timina, PBG Pune Jaguars retain Sachin Shetty and introduce Julien Girard, and Kolkata Thunderblades continue with Jubin Kumar and Tobias Bergman. The upcoming UTT season will feature seven teams playing in a round-robin league stage format, leading to semi-finals after 21 matches.
