UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan bid farewell to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport as he departed for the Netherlands after his brief visit to Abu Dhabi. The two leaders shared a warm hug before PM Modi boarded his plane.
During his visit, PM Modi expressed confidence that the outcomes would enhance the friendship between India and the UAE, contributing to mutual growth and prosperity. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson highlighted that the visit resulted in significant outcomes, further strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
PM Modi’s discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in areas such as energy, trade, investment, technology, defense, and fostering people-to-people connections. The leaders also addressed global issues and developments in West Asia, emphasizing the importance of safe transit passage through the Strait of Hormuz for regional stability.
The visit saw the announcement of USD 5 billion in investments into India by UAE entities, reinforcing the long-term commitment to India’s growth story. Both leaders welcomed the signing of agreements to deepen defense cooperation, enhance energy partnerships, and promote strategic investments. Additional agreements were also reached to strengthen maritime collaboration and advance technological cooperation between the two countries.
