Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for earning the trust of the people, emphasizing that this was its greatest accomplishment. He expressed confidence that India could become a global superpower in the next two decades with the active involvement of all citizens. Pradhan made these remarks at the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan’ in Bhopal, where he highlighted the stability, confidence, and development brought about in the last 12 years under PM Modi’s leadership.
Speaking at the ‘Atmanirbhar Mahila Samman’ program, Pradhan interacted with women entrepreneurs, self-help group members, and municipal representatives. He emphasized the increasing role of women in shaping a self-reliant India. The Union Minister underscored the importance of women’s active participation in realizing the vision of a developed India, citing examples of women-led initiatives that were excelling in various fields like self-employment, education, and innovation.
Pradhan also announced upcoming collaborations with IGNOU to enhance educational and skill development opportunities for women. He highlighted the need to involve prestigious institutions like IIMs to empower women self-help groups through entrepreneurship and capacity-building initiatives. Additionally, he pointed out the significant growth in India’s higher education and innovation ecosystem since 2014, citing an increase in the number of universities, colleges, and startups.
The Union Minister emphasized the importance of collective participation for India’s developmental goals, noting that direct transfers of Rs 51 lakh crore into beneficiaries’ bank accounts had been made. He stressed that achieving India’s aspirations for development required the contribution of every citizen, believing that such collective efforts could lead India to emerge as a global superpower in the coming decades.
