Union Health Minister JP Nadda has confirmed the government’s readiness for a thorough discussion in Parliament regarding the NEET medical entrance exam paper leak and student concerns. Nadda emphasized the seriousness with which the NDA government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is approaching the issue. He cautioned against politicizing the matter, stressing the importance of prioritizing student welfare over political gains.

Highlighting instances of paper leaks in various non-NDA states, Nadda criticized the Opposition for what he termed as a “selective stance.” He pointed out incidents such as exam leaks in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Punjab, Kerala, and Karnataka. Nadda questioned the Opposition’s silence on these leaks in UPA-aligned states, suggesting a focus on political advantage rather than genuine concern for students.

Nadda expressed willingness for a constructive resolution in Parliament, irrespective of the duration of discussions. He highlighted the government’s engagement with Opposition leaders and its responsiveness to their queries. Nadda urged all parties to act responsibly, safeguard the interests of the youth, and collaborate in Parliament to establish a robust examination system for the future.

The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency in competitive testing by welcoming constructive suggestions from all quarters. By encouraging Opposition members to submit their concerns in writing, the government aims to address procedural shortcomings directly. Nadda called for a bipartisan approach in Parliament to ensure justice, clarity, and a secure academic environment for millions of aspirants.
