Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, emphasized the importance of a “double-engine” government in Assam for driving development. He stated that states like Karnataka, Punjab, and West Bengal, without such governance, are experiencing developmental setbacks. Margherita highlighted that a coordinated approach between the Centre and the state leads to efficient implementation of welfare programs and improved public services.
Highlighting the progress under the BJP-led government in Assam, Margherita praised advancements in connectivity, law and order, and social welfare. He commended Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for steering Assam towards becoming a secure and rapidly developing state. Margherita emphasized the necessity of having the BJP in power at both the Centre and the state to sustain growth and ensure a secure and developed Assam.
As the BJP intensifies its campaign in Assam ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, Margherita urged the people to support the party and help in forming a government under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s leadership. The party is actively engaging in rallies and outreach programs across various constituencies in preparation for the elections scheduled for April 9, with vote counting set for May 4.
