The Minister emphasized the integrated approach of these initiatives, combining culture, commerce, and corporate collaborations to empower tribal communities in India’s cultural and economic evolution.
Oram introduced the logos of Tribes Art Fest, Living Roots Festival – Soundscapes of Tribal India, and Bharat Tribes Fest 2026, highlighting the comprehensive nature of these programs. The initiatives seek to ensure that tribal communities actively participate in India’s cultural and economic landscape by integrating art, music, enterprise development, and strategic partnerships within a unified framework. The Minister was accompanied by key officials and dignitaries from the Tribal Affairs Ministry and related organizations during the announcement.
The upcoming Tribes Art Fest 2026 in Delhi, scheduled from March 2 to 13, will feature renowned tribal artists displaying nearly 1,000 artworks representing 30 diverse tribal art forms from across India. This national platform will include various activities such as curated walkthroughs, live painting demonstrations, talks, workshops, and panel discussions to engage artists, curators, designers, and collectors. Additionally, the Living Roots Festival and Bharat Tribes Fest are set to showcase tribal music and artisanal products, respectively, emphasizing the cultural richness and economic potential of tribal communities.
