Union Minister Manohar Lal emphasized India’s readiness to address potential risks to petroleum and gas supply due to global conflicts and geopolitical tensions. He highlighted that while energy supply challenges are not unique to India, the country is well-equipped to handle such situations without causing alarm. Lal reassured that despite international conflicts affecting supply chains, India currently faces no disruptions in energy supplies.
Stressing the importance of preparedness, Lal mentioned the government’s proactive measures to ensure energy security in the face of unforeseen circumstances. He underscored the significance of being prepared for any challenges that may arise in the future. Lal also mentioned that India has ample reserves of essential fuels and resources to maintain stability in energy supply.
In line with the vision of self-reliance, Lal referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He explained that self-reliance involves strengthening domestic capabilities to reduce dependence on external sources. Lal highlighted India’s ability to manage trade relationships with other nations, emphasizing the country’s capacity to navigate adverse scenarios effectively.
The Union Minister urged citizens not to panic, reiterating that India is well-prepared to handle any difficulties that may arise in the energy supply chain. Lal emphasized the importance of remaining calm and assured that the government has taken necessary steps to ensure a stable energy supply for the nation.
