After meeting with the family of Bharat Tiwari, a student and local activist killed in police action, Union Minister Chirag Paswan assured the family that the perpetrators would face swift punishment. Paswan expressed condemnation for the circumstances of Tiwari’s death, labeling the role of administrative officers involved as unacceptable in a civilized society.
Bharat Tiwari’s father, Kashinath Tiwari, shared that Paswan had promised quick action against the culprits within two to three days. He added that Paswan assured them of a speedy legal process that would ensure justice, with no wrongdoer escaping punishment.
Chandan Tiwari, Bharat’s brother, reiterated Paswan’s commitment to prompt action, stating that the accused would be apprehended without delay. He emphasized Paswan’s pledge to deliver justice and hold all responsible parties accountable.
Chandan Tiwari informed Paswan about a video showing his brother being taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital, shedding light on the severity of the incident. He clarified that while Paswan believed Bharat was shot three times, the reality was that he had been shot five times.
Bharat’s mother, Asha Devi, confirmed Paswan’s assurance that those responsible for the tragedy would face consequences promptly. She mentioned Paswan’s commitment to liaise with the Bihar Chief Minister to ensure justice prevailed in the matter.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan strongly criticized the actions of the administrative officers involved in Bharat Tiwari’s killing, deeming it unacceptable in any civilized society. He emphasized the need for stringent action and severe punishment for those officers who abused their authority, warning of the erosion of public trust in Bihar’s justice system if such misconduct persisted.
