Responding to opposition criticism regarding the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination issue, Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy launched a scathing attack on the Congress in Bengaluru. He accused the ruling party in Karnataka of neglecting the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) during its tenure, leading to recruitment irregularities.
Kumaraswamy questioned the Congress government’s management of examinations in Karnataka, highlighting alleged irregularities and the decline of KPSC under Congress administrations. He blamed the Congress for fostering corruption in recruitment processes and creating a negative environment within the commission.
Referring to examination paper leaks in Rajasthan, Kumaraswamy emphasized that blaming governments for isolated incidents is unfair. Karnataka Minister Sharanaprakash R. Patil condemned the Central government’s cancellation of the NEET exam, labeling it a grave injustice to aspiring medical students nationwide.
Expressing concern for students affected by the exam cancellation, Patil criticized the BJP-led government for the recurring NEET controversies and irregularities. He urged students to remain resilient and focus on their future despite the challenges posed by the re-examination.
