He emphasized the country’s potential for growth and innovation, calling for bold investments in research and development. Poundrik highlighted the importance of ensuring the resilience and competitiveness of the Indian steel industry through strategic investments.
SRTMI President and SAIL Director (Mines) M.R. Gupta emphasized a mission-oriented approach to research and development in the steel sector. He outlined the focus on rapid technology development, pilot-scale validation, and efficient commercialization to enhance productivity and sustainability. The workshop also featured presentations on process efficiency, waste utilization, and advanced materials by leading steel companies and academic experts.
