Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, inaugurated the Hydrogen Zone at India Energy Week 2026 in Goa, emphasizing India’s focus on clean energy solutions. The Hydrogen Zone, hosted by Oil India, features advanced hydrogen technologies crucial for India’s energy transition. It showcases innovations in hydrogen production, storage, and utilization, highlighting hydrogen’s role as a clean fuel globally.

The zone demonstrates how hydrogen can reduce carbon emissions in sectors like oil refining, fertilizers, steel, and mobility. It also showcases India’s aspiration to be a competitive player in the global hydrogen market. The Hydrogen Zone is part of the eleven specialized thematic zones at India Energy Week 2026, offering policymakers and industry leaders opportunities to engage with new energy technologies and partnerships.

India Energy Week 2026, a significant energy event, has attracted over 75,000 energy professionals and 700 companies from 120 countries. The exhibition covers key areas such as hydrogen, renewable energy, digitalization, biofuels, LNG, and petrochemicals.
