The Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, is set to inaugurate the Bharat Pavilion at the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain. This initiative aims to showcase India’s telecom manufacturing capabilities and innovation ecosystem on a global platform. Minister Scindia will attend the MWC 2026 from March 2 to March 5, representing India at one of the world’s largest technology and telecommunications events.
Through strategic engagements with governments, industry leaders, and technology innovators, the visit seeks to enhance international partnerships, attract investments, and bolster India’s role in shaping secure and future-ready digital networks globally. The Ministry of Communications highlighted that Minister Scindia’s participation at MWC 2026 reflects India’s increasing prominence as a global leader in the digital and mobile sector.
During the event, Minister Scindia will deliver a keynote address in the GSMA Ministerial program themed “Built for What’s Next,” focusing on future-ready digital infrastructure and emerging technology frameworks. Additionally, he will present the closing keynote session on “Breaking the Cost Barrier,” emphasizing affordable, inclusive, and scalable digital connectivity models for global implementation.
Furthermore, Minister Scindia will engage with global CEOs at a CEO dinner hosted by India, visit booths, and participate in technology demonstrations at prominent global and Indian companies. Notably, he will visit the booth of Tejas Networks for the launch of the T31600-D3 Hyper-scalable DCI Platform, a significant advancement in India’s telecom product development.
In addition to these activities, Minister Scindia will hold high-level bilateral meetings to explore collaboration opportunities in universal meaningful connectivity and resilient communication infrastructure. The statement also highlighted that India’s telecom sector is experiencing growth driven by increasing data consumption and stable cash flows, as indicated in a recent report.
