Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy, while addressing a gathering at a temple in Karnataka, appealed to the people to grant him a chance to establish “Ram Rajya” in the state. He criticized the current Congress government for its heavy borrowing and emphasized his commitment to providing better financial assistance, suggesting he would offer Rs 5,000 instead of Rs 2,000 under guarantee schemes if he were the Chief Minister. Kumaraswamy also urged women to consider their children’s future rather than being swayed by the existing Rs 2,000 assistance.
The Minister’s statements, made at a temple event, are being viewed as a signal of his aspirations to lead the state. Observing the presence of youths in saffron shawls, Kumaraswamy humorously remarked on not receiving one himself, highlighting his devotion to Lord Rama. He emphasized the symbolic significance of the saffron shawl as a representation of faith and values, reiterating his commitment to establishing “Ram Rajya” in Karnataka given the opportunity.
Former minister H.D. Revanna, along with other local leaders and villagers, attended the event where Kumaraswamy expressed his vision for the state’s governance.
