Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju introduced the NIGRANI App and Haj Wristband as part of the PMJVK scheme to address infrastructure gaps. The NIGRANI App aims to enhance transparency and real-time monitoring of projects in minority-concentrated regions, fostering development and improving coordination between the Centre and states.
Rijiju praised the Ministry of Minority Affairs team for organizing a ‘Chintan Shivir’ at Nalanda University, emphasizing Nalanda’s significance in India’s heritage. The ‘Chintan Shivir’ discussions are expected to streamline coordination between the Centre and states, ensuring successful project implementation at the grassroots level. The event gathered Union and state Ministers, officials, and experts to strategize on minority welfare and socio-economic empowerment.
The Ministry highlighted its achievements through various schemes like PMJVK, PM VIKAS, NMDFC, and Haj modernization, aligning with PM Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The discussions at the event focused on infrastructure development, socio-economic empowerment, Waqf management, Haj initiatives, and scholarship schemes. Minister of State for Minority Affairs, George Kurian, emphasized the role of PMJVK in realizing PM Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and praised the Ministry’s efforts in minority welfare and development.
