They discussed bilateral ties, shared priorities, and potential cooperation in digital infrastructure. India’s High Commissioner to Fiji, Suneet Mehta, also engaged in discussions to strengthen bilateral cooperation. In a recent meeting with Fiji Parliament Speaker Filimone Jitoko, they explored avenues for advancing mutual cooperation and reinforcing parliamentary ties. Mehta chaired a meeting to review the ‘Tubalevu Ground Water Supply Project’, a collaborative effort supported by India.
Furthermore, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta met with Fiji’s Minister for Finance, Commerce, and Business Development, Esrom Immanuel, to enhance ties and cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The relationship between India and Fiji is characterized by mutual respect, cooperation, and strong cultural connections. India’s support to Fiji in nation-building efforts and capacity building has strengthened bilateral relations over the years.
