Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita, during his visit to Honduras, engaged in meetings with the country’s top leadership to enhance bilateral relations. He also commended the Indian community and alumni of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) in Honduras for their contributions to fostering connections between the two nations.
Margherita, through his social media platform, expressed his appreciation for the ITEC alumni and Indian community in Honduras for their role in strengthening ties between India and Honduras. He highlighted the importance of people-to-people connections in deepening bilateral relations.
In his visit, Margherita met with Honduras’ Foreign Minister Mireya Aguero to discuss the progress in bilateral relations and emphasized the commitment to enhancing institutional collaboration. He also had a meeting with Honduras’ first Vice President, Maria Antonieta Mejia, focusing on ways to further strengthen bilateral ties.
Furthering his engagements, Margherita interacted with Honduras’ Secretary of Culture, Arts, and Heritage, Yasser Handal Carcamo, to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation in various fields such as arts, yoga, wellness, cinema, and cultural exchanges. Margherita’s visit to Honduras follows his recent trip to Costa Rica, where he participated in the swearing-in ceremony of the new Costa Rican President Laura Fernandez and engaged with the local Indian community.
